COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A man has been charged after reportedly leading deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department on a high-speed chase on Tuesday.

RCSD said 50-year-old Eric Junious was arrested and charged with reckless driving and failure to stop for blue lights.

According to an incident report obtained by WIS, RCSD said it received a call about a series of vehicle break-ins at the Comfort Suites on Daulton Drive. Hotel staff reportedly showed deputies surveillance videos that showed Junious breaking into multiple vehicles, including utility work trucks.

RCSD then ran the North Carolina tags on Junious’s Nissan Altima and discovered they were expired. A deputy later tried to stop Junious, but the latter reportedly initiated a chase by turning into a gas station near Inter
