A popular chocolate-covered fruit snack sold at grocery stores nationwide has voluntarily recalled due to the "potential presence of metal" inside.

According to a press release from the Food and Drug Administration, several varieties of Tru Fu Freeze Dried strawberries may contain hard or sharp objects that could cause "traumatic injury," including laceration of the the mouth, tongue, throat, stomach and intestine, as well as damage to the teeth and gums.

The two products in the recall were Tru Fru Freeze Dried Strawberries in Dark & White Chocolate, and Tru Fru Freeze Dried Strawberries & Crème, sold in different sized bags. They were distributed across the U.S. and sold in stores and online nationwide, including Albertson's, CVS, Food Lion, H-E-B, Hungryroot, Ingles Markets, Kroger, St
