CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) – A professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was placed on administrative leave this week as the school opens an investigation into reports of concern about his alleged advocacy for “politically motivated violence,” the university said on Wednesday.
UNC-Chapel Hill leaders confirmed to CBS 17 that Dr. Dwayne Dixon is on leave “effective immediately.”
Dixon works as a professor of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the university.
