CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill professor has been placed on administrative leave as the school investigates reports that he allegedly promoted “politically motivated violence,” officials confirmed Wednesday.
UNC leaders told our news partner CBS 17 that Dr. Dwayne Dixon, a faculty member in the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, is on leave “effective immediately.”
In a statement, UNC-Chapel Hill Vice Chancellor for Communications and Marketing Dean Stoyer said:
