A thug hacked a man with a machete in front of shocked punters.

The terrifying attack left a 39-year-old in hospital with serious injuries.

According to a police source, the bar attack was targeted.

The attacker donned a hat and a grey hoodie as they were captured on CCTV entering the boozer and pushing past punters enjoying karaoke.

Footage captured the thug making their way to a table before pulling a footlong blade from behind their back.

The thug then landed what appeared to be a violent strike on a man seated at a table.

The attacker then rained down further blows down on their victim, Daily Record reports.
