BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Reliance Bank has announced plans to open a new branch in Central Pennsylvania.

According to a release, the financial institution is in the process of opening a new branch that will be located in Bellefonte pending regulatory approval. The bank already has a location in State College (100 Hawbaker Industrial Drive).

If approved, the new location would be at 801 E. Bishop Street, which is the site of a former PNC Bank.

“Centre County is experiencing a great deal of growth, and it’s important that we’re there for existing and prospective customers and their evolving needs,” Phil Freeman, Reliance Bank President and CEO said. “We have been specifically asked to add a branch in Bellefonte, and we’re thrilled to be delivering on that now.”
