The UK government wants patients’ care to be moved from hospitals into the community.

But hospices who provide end of life support and palliative care say budget cuts mean hospitals are taking away their contracts, giving patients less choice over where they die.

The Arthur Rank hospice in Cambridgeshire has been told by its local trust that they are withdrawing more than £800,000 of funding, meaning fewer beds and staff redundancies.
