BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Several students were detained during the LSU presidential search committee meeting after a ‘No MAGA’ protest broke out during public comment.

The committee was set to meet on Wednesday, Oct 1, at 11:30 a.m. in the LSU Foundation Building Board Room to discuss the process for choosing the next president of the university.

According to LSU’s TigerTV and LSU Reveille reporters, the LSU Students for a Democratic Society were behind the protest, challenging the selection process.
