RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- An 18-year-old has been identified as the man killed in a shooting on Coalter Street Tuesday evening.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers were called to the 1500 block of Coalter Street on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 6:12 p.m. for the report of a person down.

When officers arrived, they found a man -- now identified as 18-year-old Khyrie Bright -- on the ground with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died due to his injuries, officials said.
