SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Springfield Police Department is now accepting applications for its final Share the Road motorcycle safety course of 2025.

The free, one-day course is offered on Oct. 11, 2025, and will be the final course of the year. Interest applications must be submitted by Thursday, Oct. 9, at noon, and those who meet the minimum requirements will receive further instructions via email.

According to SPD, the civilian motorcycle course, hosted by its Traffic Section, offers motorcycle riders an opportunity to learn tools and techniques to reduce the number of motorcycle accidents. Some of the things riders can learn include
