PALM COAST, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida driver who was pulled over for going 107 mph told police he was "trying to make an appointment with his barber."
Dash camera and body camera video of the traffic stop, released by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, shows the driver, 57-year-old Michael Stanek, racing down the highway before being signaled to pull over by law enforcement.
After requesting that he exit the vehicle, the deputy is then heard asking Stanek why he was going so fast, to which he replies, "I have an appointment with my barber in New Smyrna."
In Florida, motorists caught driving over the speed limit by 50 mph or at speeds of 100 mph or more are considered "super speeders" and can face jail time.
