GULF SHORES, Ala. (WKRG) — A man has been arrested in Gulf Shores after allegedly attempting to steal a woman's dog and then punching her.

On Aug. 28, a woman was attacked at One Club Apartments while walking her dog.

“She was walking her newly adopted dog around One Club apartments when she was approached by a male who demanded her dog,” Carl Wittstruck with the Gulf Shores Police Department previously said.

When she told him no, she was allgedly hit in the face.

“She sustained a cut in her forehead that required stitches,” according to Wittstruck.

Gulf Shores police identified Brandon Demarcus Harris as the suspect.

Harris was arrested on Monday, Sept. 29, and charged with strong-arm robbery.
