FOXBOROUGH – Another win meant another honor for the Patriots special teams unit.
On Wednesday, Marcus Jones was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after an explosive performance in the Patriots blowout win over the Carolina Panthers. This marks the second special teams honor for Jones and the second accolade for the Patriots after Antonio Gibson earned the same award in Week 2.
Jones had a record day on Sunday, setting a franchise record with 167 punt return yards. He averaged 55.7 yards per return, setting a new franchise in-game record. That’s also the second-best mark in NFL history.
