BOSTON —

Two Boston police officers were injured Wednesday after responding to a call about an incident involving a student.

Boston officers responded to the Melvin H. King South End Academy on Warren Avenue in the city’s South End neighborhood at about 1:35 p.m. for a report of a student assaulting staff

During the response, three officers sustained what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Two officers were taken to local hospitals for treatment, and the third was treated at the station.

The female student was taken to Boston Children’s Hospital for evaluation, police said.

Police said they did not have information about the conditions of the staff members.

The incident remains under investigation.
