SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. —

An additional arrest has been made in the death of a Shelby man in 2021.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Debbie Bass, 60, now faces a murder charge in connection with the 2021 killing of David Yearber.

The sheriff's office said Yearber was found dead in a yard on Pine Street on July 25, 2021.

The first suspect, identified as Brandon Bass, 28, was arrested and charged with murder a few weeks after Yearber's body was found.

“Our investigators never stopped working this case. The pursuit of justice requires patience and persistence, and we remain committed to ensuring every piece of evidence is fully considered,” said Sheriff John Samaniego.
