Newly released body camera footage captured the 2021 arrest of a convicted double murderer who was mistakenly released from jail over the weekend as authorities continue to search for him.

James Daniels, 60, is one of two men who were found guilty in the 2020 double murder in Miami-Dade .

The bodies were found tied up and shot to death at an abandoned home in Opa-locka, police said.

In the August 2021 body camera video, Daniels, who was 56 at the time, was pulled over in Miami for a traffic stop as officers asked to search his car.

"Do you have weapons inside the car?" an officer said.

"No, no, no," Daniels said.

"Any guns or anything like that?" an officer said.
