ASPEN, Colo. – Investigators in Colorado have reopened the review of the 2005 shooting death of journalist Hunter S. Thompson. The death was originally ruled a suicide.

There is no new evidence indicating foul play in Thompson's death at this time. However, law enforcement has initiated the review following a request from Thompson's widow.

Local sheriffs and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation have stated their commitment to addressing any lingering questions surrounding the case.
