The firefighter who was injured in the blaze at the Pioneer Mill is still recovering in hospital, says the fire service.

Crews have been working on the historic Bury mill for days after it caught alight on Saturday night (September 27).

A firefighter has been left with serious injuries after they were part of the emergency service response to the site on Milltown Street. According to the fire service, they were hurt when part of the building collapsed

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said that the firefighter remains in hospital.
