CLARKSVILLE, Ind. —

A Wisconsin murder suspect was arrested in southern Indiana after police say he led them on a high-speed chase and tried to hide from them in a soybean field.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office arrested Demonta Hambright on Tuesday.

Police said Hambright was first spotted by Advanced Flock cameras at a truck stop in a stolen vehicle.

Officers attempted to make contact with Hambright, but police said he got into the vehicle and sped off.

Police followed Hambright until he crashed the stolen vehicle on Charlestown-Memphis Road.

At this point, police said Hambright tried to hide in a soybean field. He was taken into custody by officers.

In addition to a warrant for murder out of Wisconsin, Hambright is charged with resisting law enforcement in Clark County.
