MASSENA, New York (WWNY) - A sizable donation brings new technology to Massena Public Library, but the library has no idea who to thank.

“I guess the first thing you think of is: Wow, is this real?”

That’s what the library’s assistant director, Heather Sarsfield, is saying after an anonymous donor gifted the library 12 new desktop computers and monitors. Five are for public use, and the rest are for staff.

The new technology will replace computers that are more than a decade old.

“The patrons were complaining, to a certain extent, because they were very slow, and even just to do the very simplest tasks on there, any type of web browsers, it got bogged down, it took forever,” said Sarsfield.
