SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Housing Authority (SHA) said Wednesday it is monitoring potential impacts of a federal government shutdown but reported no immediate changes to its programs.
According to SHA, the October Housing Assistance Payments have already been issued and programs remain in place. SHA officials added they will provide updates if any changes occur.
Although SHA administers federal funding, the agency noted it is not a federal body. It was created under Washington state law and is authorized by Spokane County, the City of Spokane and the City of Spokane Valley.
