The East Multnomah Falls Viaduct will close to all traffic starting Monday, Oct. 6 and remain closed through the winter season for an ongoing repair project.
The Multnomah Falls Lodge parking lot will remain open, but will only be accessible from the west. The eastern route will reopen in Spring 2026, although an exact date has not been specified.
The closure was originally set to begin Oct. 1, but the Oregon Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that it had been delayed to Oct. 6 due to rain.
Highway 30, also called the Historic Columbia River Highway, crosses a pair of viaducts near Multnomah Falls — one a short distance east of the parking lot,
