CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (WJW) – A World War II veteran from Cuyahoga Falls is finally coming home after nearly eight decades.
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency confirmed the identification of Platoon Sergeant Harold M. Weaver in 2023.
According to the City of Cuyahoga Falls, Weaver was born to Lewis Rollin and Marie (Patterson) Weaver on September 4, 1917, in Cuyahoga Falls. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and attended Kent State University before enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1941.
