A Henvey Inlet woman whose wild driving south of Sudbury caught the eye of another motorist now faces an impaired charge.

Sudbury OPP said officers responded Friday around 9:40 p.m. to a complaint regarding a vehicle on Highway 69 in the Burwash area.

“The vehicle was passing unsafely in a construction zone,” the OPP said. “Police located the vehicle, arrested the driver for impaired driving, and then transported the driver to the OPP detachment for further testing.”

Debbie Brennan, 51, from Henvey Inlet First Nation, is charged with impaired driving over 80 mgs.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on Oct. 22.

The driver was issued a 90-day licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
