ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

New Mexico State Police has partnered with the 2nd Judicial Attorney's Office, Albuquerque Police Department, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office, and Probation and Parole to lead a weeklong operation to suppress crime in Albuquerque's International District.

The operation, which ran from Sept. 22-28, was part of the state police's increased effort in the area aimed at reducing crime and addressing public drug use through proactive patrols and high-contact stops.

During the investigation, officers were able to make seven misdemeanor arrests, recover eight stolen vehicles, and seize three firearms along with various narcotics.
