NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Nearly 80 small business owners are scrambling to find a new space to operate in after their building in Germantown suddenly closed due to safety code violations.
For the last few weeks, the owners of retail shops, artists and others renting a space at the 100 Taylor Arts Collective building have been gathering what they can to keep their businesses up and running.
“The initial news was a little bit like ‘Oh, wow we’re not coming back to work.’ At first, it was two or three days then come to find out it was four to six weeks. I don’t know,” said Skylar Wilson the owner of Skybone Studios.
For now, Wilson has moved his 2D animation studio back to his home studio. He’s one of about 80 tenants who are still unsure of when they can get back to business as usual.
