NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Students, families, and teachers across Davidson County laced up their sneakers Wednesday morning for National Walk to School Day.

In Nashville, one of the largest gatherings took place along 12th Avenue South, where participants walked together from the Operation Stand Down parking lot to Carter-Lawrence Elementary.
