BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) Department put out a press release on October 1 saying that entitlement programs will not be affected by the Federal Government shutdown.
Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, WIC, and the Child Care Development Fund are all federal programs administered by the ND HHS within the Peace Garden State. The release said all of these programs will continue without interruption.
“We will provide updates as more information becomes available, and we remain committed to our mission of helping North Dakotans live safe and healthy lives.” Said HHS Commissioner Pat Traynor in the press release.
