HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Rumors of Mindy Kushner's death were greatly exaggerated. But she is not exaggerating the mess caused by a Social Security Administration mistake.

"So, my husband died," she said. It's still hard for her to say it.

Robert Kushner passed four years ago from cancer. He left behind a paperwork mess, his wife said.

"Because he was in denial, and I guess I was, too. But slowly I started to pull things together," Kushner said.

This past summer she called the Social Security office. She said she wasn't ready to take the benefits yet, but she wanted to determine what the numbers were.
