SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Starting Wednesday, newly issued California Driver's Licenses and Identification Cards will be sporting a makeover, as the DMV announced that the cards have received an updated design with advanced security features.

According to a press release from the DMV, the new look will feature the one-of-a-kind beauty of the Golden State's landscape and will also have advanced security measures and updated technology.

The design will come equipped with enhanced anti-counterfeit features, including the addition of a digital security signature on one of the back barcodes. The new cards will also no longer have a magnetic strip on the back.
