JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas — A North Texas sheriff accused of sexually harassing employees and abusing his office was back behind bars with a new charge in the ongoing case, sources told WFAA.

An indictment filed Wednesday and obtained by WFAA reveals Sheriff Adam King was indicted for aggravated perjury — a charge tied to the ongoing sexual harassment case against King. Texas Rangers arrested King Wednesday evening and booked him into the Johnson County Jail, records show.

A judge set his bond at $50,000 at the Johnson County Jail. When the judge announced the amount, Sheriff King responded, "Wow, I'm getting to be a scary criminal."
