It's been one year since LMPD swore in Chief Paul Humphrey and the rest of his command staff.
Not long before that swearing-in, we sat down with Humphrey to discuss the things he said he wanted to focus on. They included reducing violent crime, using more data-driven policing, and being more transparent and visible with the community.
When I asked if he felt like the department had achieved those goals, he said there is "no finish line" because there is always room for improvement. However, Humphrey said the effort the department put forward could be graded with an A.
