ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman has been charged with murder nearly six months after her young son died when his head got stuck in a car window in southwest Atlanta.
On the morning of Apr. 6, Atlanta police responded to an unresponsive person near an apartment building on the 300 block of Scott Street SW.
Officers found a boy in a car who was not alert, conscious, or breathing.
According to an incident report from Atlanta police, the child “was seen stuck in the back window possibly being strangled.”
He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The boy’s mother, 32-year-old Kandice Grace, was asleep in the front seat, the incident report said.
Two other children were in the vehicle, according to the report.
