DES MOINES, Iowa —

Officers from three Iowa law enforcement agencies were justified when they shot and killed an armed suspect in August, according to a report from the Iowa Attorney General's Office.

On Aug. 27, a trooper with the Iowa State Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Michael Patrick Broyles in Harrison County. Authorities say Broyles produced a shotgun and pointed it at the trooper before getting back in his vehicle and speeding away toward Council Bluffs.
