PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The U.S. Department of Justice is suing four Oregon counties, alleging they are blocking federal immigration investigations by refusing to comply with subpoenas tied to convicted felons.
In a 20-page filing on Wednesday, federal prosecutors asked a judge to order Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Marion counties to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) division.
