WINDSOR, Conn. (WWLP) - Flights at Bradley International Airport continue to operate despite the ongoing government shutdown, which is affecting air traffic controllers and FAA employees.

As the shutdown persists, travelers may experience delays and disruptions due to air traffic controllers working without pay and FAA employees being furloughed. Experts advise passengers to prepare for potential impacts on their travel plans.

"I hope they can resolve things—and get it approved—get it done for the best, in terms of the American people," said Jose Maties, a traveler at Bradley International Airport.

Mark Schieldrop from AAA Northeast noted, "Potential delays, whether it's going through security, air traffic control delays, planes may see delays from taking off."
