MAYODAN, N.C. — A McMichael High senior football player was involved in a serious car accident on Wednesday morning, according to Rockingham County Schools Superintendent John Stover.

Stover told WFMY News 2 that Camen Mizelle was traveling back from taking classes at Rockingham Community College on Wednesday morning when he was injured in a multi-car crash.

No other details of the crash are known at this time. Stover said that Mizelle had surgery on Wednesday and that it seems to have been successful.
