A 22-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in Jagatpura village, Mohali.

The vicitm was identified as Mohammad Rubeel, originally from Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred while his family members were asleep on the lower floor of the house.

The victim’s brother discovered Rubeel’s body hanging when he woke up on Wednesday morning and immediately informed the police control room. The Phase 11 police reached the spot promptly, took the body into their custody, and sent it to the mortuary of Civil Hospital, Phase-6, for a post-mortem. No suicide note was recovered from the scene.
