FARMINGTON, Connecticut — Farmington police responded to a hit-and-run crash Wednesday afternoon on Plainville Avenue.

A 76-year-old man suffered minor injuries during the crash and is expected to be okay.

Local law enforcement personnel are looking for the driver of a white box truck, which fled the scene of the crash.

On Wednesday evening, people walking along the Farmington trail - like Rehka Pawar and Aidan Campbell - say they aren't shocked this happened.

"I feel like this is such a common place [incident] and I think that’s the reason for the installation of the flashing lights with pedestrian crossing,” Pawar said. “Maybe there has to be more awareness, and pedestrians and bikers should watch out when crossing."
