ROSEBURG, Ore. – Today marks 10 years since the tragic shooting at Umpqua Community College (UCC) in Roseburg. Eight students and one professor were killed that day. The college continues to support the families, friends and witnesses, with a memorial for the lives lost.
“So, it is the 10th anniversary of the shooting that we had here on campus and we do service projects today and we have lunch together,” UCC President Rachel Pokrandt said. “And then we have a moment of silence to remember those we lost and people who are affected by that day.”
Rebecka Ann Carnes, Quinn Gleen Cooper, Lucas Eibel, Lucero Alcaraz, Treven Taylor Anspach, Jason Dale Johnson, Sarena Dawn Moore, Kim Saltmarsh and Lawrence Levine all continue to be remembered by the UCC community.
