KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – CSX will be closing some railroad crossings in Kanawha County to do repair work during the next two weeks.

Crossings at Walnut Street in East Bank and James River Road in Chelyan will be closed until Friday.

The crossing at Vintroux Road in St. Albans is scheduled to be closed at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The crossing is expected to reopen by 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.

It’s all so crews can replace railroad ties and repave the crossings.
