CARBONDALE — The Mt. Vernon Rams had themselves a day at the Class 2A regional tournament at Hickory Ridge Golf Course.

One week removed from placing second in the South Seven Conference Tournament at the same course, Mt. Vernon won the regional by two strokes, 316-318, over Benton and had the tournament medalist, junior Xander Ashby.
