Imphal, October 01 2025: Ahead of the Wildlife Week Celebration beginning October 2, six snakes rescued by the People For Animals (PFM), Manipur, from different locations were released back to the wild.

The released snakes included, Monocled Cobra (Kharou), two Russell's Viper (Lindu), and one Copper-Headed Trinket (Tanglei Wachetmanbi) .

The release was carried out at a safe location led by Range Forest Officer Dineshchandra Salam, in the presence of PFA Manipur's Herpetologist and Snake Rescuer, Hemeshwor Nongthombam, and Jenishkumar Thingujam, under the supervision of DFO Thoubal, Dr L Jeeceelee.
