Imphal, October 01 2025: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Indian Army organised tree plantation drives and medical camps across Manipur, drawing enthusiastic participation from local communities.

In Churachandpur, saplings were planted at Tuikong cluster and Tuikong Primary School, with active involvement from local residents and school children.

A medical camp was also organised providing essential healthcare support to villagers, especially women, children, and the elderly.

Simultaneously, in Bishnupur district, the Indian Army in collaboration with the Bishnupur Forest Division conducted tree plantation programme at TE Paul Memorial High School, Kumbi Sandhong Relief Camp and BK Golden Academy where over 250 saplings were planted with active involvement of villagers and volunteers
