A Fall River man has been sentenced to prison for giving a hitchhiking 14-year-old girl multiple alcoholic drinks, then raping her at a Somerset hotel, the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Trevon Hector, 38, previously pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and abuse of a child and one count of possession of child pornography in Bristol County Superior Court, the district attorney’s office said in a press release. A judge sentenced him to five to seven years in prison on the charges.
In August 2023, a 14-year-old girl who was living in a group home in Fall River ran away and tried to hitchhike to see her mother in Brockton, the district attorney’s office said. Hector pulled over to offer her a ride, told her he was 18 and drove her to the Riverview Inn & Suite
