PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - Police arrested a Missouri man after they said he chased down and beat another man with “metal knuckles.”
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Paragould police officers were called to the 600 block of North 4th Street regarding a disturbance.
According to court documents, when officers arrived, they observed “a number of people engaged in a physical altercation.”
Detective Sergeant Jacob L. Higdon said police learned that the argument started when a group of people walking down the street was honked at by a passing vehicle.
“During the verbal altercation, the potential defendant, Gary D. Miller, III, reportedly ‘chest bumped’ one of the parties who then shoved him back,” Higdon stated in the affidavit. “The defendant then retrieved a pair of metal knuckles from his pocket, ch
