ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two men were shot Wednesday night on Sawyer Street, according to the Rochester Police Department.

Officers said they received a ShotSpotter activation and reports about a shooting on Sawyer Street. They arrived around 11 p.m. and later learned two men were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with at least one gunshot wound each.

The two men, ages 31 and 39, are expected to survive.

Police are still looking into the circumstances behind the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
