ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Monroe County Department of Transportation has started construction on Stone Road between Mount Read Boulevard and Lynette Drive as part of the county’s Highway Preventive Maintenance Project No. 11.

The project includes reconstructing sidewalk curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards, improving roadway shoulders, and adjusting manholes, drainage inlets and valves. Milling, paving and new pavement markings will follow in the coming weeks.

County officials said milling and paving are scheduled to begin the week of Oct. 13 and are expected to take about two weeks, depending on weather conditions. Two-way traffic will remain open, but drivers should expect daily lane closures and flaggers.
