Jamie Carragher hailed David Raya as ‘one of the best pieces that Arsenal have done’ following the side’s 2-0 victory over Olympiakos in the Champions League.

The Gunners maintained their winning start in this year’s competition thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka at either end of the contest.

There were some nervous moments for Arsenal, though, and the hosts were forced to rely on Raya’s stunning save to deny Daniel Podence in the 20th minute to ensure they came away from the Emirates with a clean sheet.

Francisco Chiquinho also had a goal disallowed for offside as the visitors piled on the pressure in search of an equaliser before Saka struck in the second minute of stoppage time to bed the tie to bed.
