CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 27-year-old man accused of assaulting a security guard at a Cleveland apartment complex, will be arraigned in Cleveland Municipal Court Thursday.

Nathaniel Searight is charged with felonious assault.

The attack happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Prospect Ave.

According to Cleveland police, preliminary investigation indicates Searight was involved in an argument with another person when the security guard attempted to intervene and was assaulted.

Police said when they arrived on the scene, the security guard was laying on the ground and a second man, later identified as Searight, was standing over him.

Cleveland EMS said the 34-year-old security guard suffered critical injuries and was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center.
